APRICOT NUT LOAF 
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. orange juice
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dried apricots
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. orange flavoring
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
1/2 c. English walnuts

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add egg, milk, orange juice and orange flavoring and beat well. Sift and add flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in apricots and nuts. Bake in a greased loaf pan 60 to 70 minutes at 350 degrees.
