MRS. WAFER'S POUND CAKE | |
3 c. sugar 1 lb. butter 7 eggs 3/4 c. milk 4 c. Softasilk flour 1 tsp. lemon flavoring 1 tsp. vanilla Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each egg. Beat in lemon and vanilla flavorings. Alternate milk as you add flour to mixture. Beat well. Pour mixture into greased and floured 12" tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool 30 to 40 minutes. |
