BEETS WITH SOUR, SWEET SAUCE 
2 c. sliced beets
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1/3 c. water
1/2 tsp. mustard
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix sugar, cornstarch, mustard, vinegar and water in double boiler. Cook until clear and thick. Put beets in and let stand at least 1/2 hour. Serve warm.
