JENNIFER'S PEANUT BRITTLE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. raw peanuts (or use salted peanuts and omit salt)
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. baking soda

Over medium heat, heat to boiling; sugar, corn syrup, salt and 1/4 cup water until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking and stirring until a small amount of the mixture dropped into very cold water separates into hard and brittle threads. Remove from heat. Immediately add butter and baking soda. Pour onto a greased cookie sheet. When cool, break into pieces.
