JIFFY APPLE-QUE SAUCE 
1/2 c. cooking oil
3/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. catsup
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. lemon juice
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. applesauce

Saute onions in cooking oil until transparent. Combine remaining ingredients, except applesauce, and add to first mixture. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add applesauce and simmer for 5 more minutes. Makes about 4 cups. The finished sauce should be kept in the refrigerator. It will keep up to 4 weeks.
