SELF FRUIT TART CAKE | |
1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. shortening 4 eggs 2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. lemon extract or lemon juice 1 can pie filling Cream butter and shortening. Add sugar. Add 1 egg at a time, then add extract, slowly add flour and mix thoroughly. Flour a 15 x 10 inch sheet cake pan. Spread batter into pan, mark off 18 squares (center) and add pie filling to center of each square (about a tablespoon). Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Cut squares, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. |
