BLONDE BROWNIES 
1 1/2 c. softened butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolks
1 whole egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 egg white

In a large mixing bowl cream butter and white sugar. Add egg yolk, whole egg and vanilla; blend well. Sift together the dry ingredients and gradually add to creamed mixture until well blended. Pour batter into greased 9-inch square pan. Stir together brown sugar, nuts and egg white. Spread over batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until brownie begins to pull away from the sides of pan. Cool in pan before cutting into squares.
