BOURBON BALLS | |
1/2 c. butter 16 oz. pkg. powdered sugar 1/4 c. bourbon 1 c. chopped pecans 4 (1 oz.) squares semisweet chocolate 4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate 4 dozen pecan halves Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beat well at medium speed. Add bourbon. Beat until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans. Shape into 1 inch balls. Cover and chill 8 hours. Combine chocolate squares in top of a double boiler; bring water to boil. Reduce heat to low and cook until chocolate melts. Dip bourbon balls in chocolate; place on wax paper and press a pecan half on top of each. Chill until chocolate hardens. Yields 4 dozen. |
