ORANGE SLICE CAKE 
1 lb. orange slices, (candy) cut in 3 pieces
1 lb. dates, chopped
1 tall can Angel Flake coconut
2 c. pecans, chopped
4 eggs
1 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. buttermilk & 1 tsp. baking soda added in milk
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. self-rising flour

Mix sugar, eggs, add melted butter. Add flour and milk. Stir in rest of ingredients, mixing well. Grease tube pan real good. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. (Maybe a little longer, test for doneness with toothpick.)

GLAZE: POUR OVER HOT CAKE
1 c. orange juice
2 c. 10X sugar

Pour over hot cake as soon as removed from oven while still in pan. Cool in pan until cake is completely cold. Use knife in loosening from edge of pan. Will keep for weeks stored in refrigerator. Best if refrigerated several days before serving.
