CRISP OATMEAL COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. oats
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening. Add sugar and cream thoroughly. Add well beaten eggs. Add flour, salt, rolled oats, and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto buttered baking sheet and bake in hot oven at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
