BLEND OF THE BAYOU 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 lb. shrimp, peeled
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 ribs celery, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. tabasco
1/2 tsp. red pepper
1 pt. crab meat
1 1/2 c. rice, cooked
Cracker crumbs
Sharp cheese, grated

Melt cream cheese and butter using double-boiler or microwave. Saute shrimp, onion, bell pepper and celery in 2 tablespoons butter. Add to the first mixture, then add shrimp, mushrooms, seasonings, crab meat and rice. Mix well. Place in 2-quart casserole. Top with cheese and cracker crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes until bubbly. Freezes well. Serves 10 to 12.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
