SHORTRIBS WITH BARBECUE SAUCE 
2 1/2 - 3 lbs. short ribs or flanken
1 c. ketchup
1 c. water
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tbsp. prepared horseradish
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
2 onions

Arrange shortribs in a shallow baking pan. Mix remaining ingredients together. Pour mixture over the meat. Slice 2 onions and place over the sauce. Cook 2 1/2 - 3 hours at 350 degrees. Serves 3.
