MISSISSIPPI FUDGE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. pecans
2 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. sm. marshmallows
1 1/3 c. flour
4 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. cocoa

Cream sugar, shortening, eggs, and vanilla. Sift flour and add to cocoa and salt. Pour into mixture. Add pecans and bake 30 minutes at 300 degrees until done in sheet pan. Take out of oven and cover with marshmallows to melt. Let cool and frost.

FROSTING:

1/3 c. cocoa
1 c. butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. pecans (can substitute coconut)
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter; add cocoa, vanilla, milk, powdered sugar, and pecans. Spread on cake.
