CHOW CHOW 
5-6 yellow cucumbers, tender
6-8 green tomatoes
3-4 pods hot pepper
1/2 doz. onions
3 c. vinegar
3 c. dark brown sugar
2 tsp. celery seed
3 heads cabbage
3 green bell peppers
3 red bell peppers
1/2 c. plain salt
3 c. water
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric

Chop all vegetables with chopper or food processor. Pour 1/2 cup salt over chopped vegetables and let stand overnight. Drain and press in cloth to remove as much liquid as possible.

Boil vinegar, water and sugar with spices for 5 minutes. Add chopped vegetables and bring to a boil. Pour into sterilized jars and seal at once.
