BARBECUE CHICKEN 
1 (3 lb.) chicken, cut up

SAUCE:

1 c. cold water
1 medium onion
2 tbsp. Crisco
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. mustard
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. diced celery
1 c. ketchup

Brown onion in Crisco; mix remaining ingredients and add to onions. Simmer about 15 minutes. Place aluminum foil in bottom of broiler pan. Place chicken in pan after dipping in sauce. Pour sauce over meat; cover with foil. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 hours.
