MEMORIAL TEA DATE BALLS 
1 lb. dates, chopped
1 lb. butter
2 c. granulated sugar
4 c. Rice Krispies
2 c. chopped nuts
4 tbsp. vanilla

Melt butter and sugar. Mix with dates; stir and cook slowly 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla. Let cool. Roll into small balls. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or roll in grated coconut. Makes 12 dozen balls. Keep in airtight container or freezer.
