BOOPIE'S LINGUINE WITH CLAM
SAUCE
 
1/4 stick butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 c. fresh chopped parsley
1 lg. can of crushed tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1/2 sm. can of water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 can Roland small whole clams

Saute garlic in butter. Gradually add tomato sauce, water and crushed tomatoes, blend. Add basil, salt, pepper and simmer 15 minutes. Add chopped parsley and simmer for an additional 1/2 hour covered. Prepare linguine in boiling salted water. Immediately before serving drain clams and add to sauce. Serve over pasta.
