GREEK NUT CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
6 eggs, separated
1 c. farina
1 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. walnuts, chopped
4 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of ground cinnamon

Cream the butter for a while, add the egg yolks and sugar, then beat it for a while (with a whisk) until creamy.

Gradually add the flour, farina, walnuts, baking powder, cinnamon and milk.

Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour in a greased pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until cake is done when tested.

SYRUP:

2 c. sugar
1 c. water

Boil together for 3 minutes, then pour on hot cake. Let cake stand until cool. Cut into squares.
