CHOW MEIN 
2 lbs. chow mein meat (pork & veal)
1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 can bean sprouts, drained (save juice)
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
Fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 beef bouillon cube
1/2 c. boiling water
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushroom steak sauce
1 tbsp. molasses
3 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Brown meat, seasoning well with pepper, but no salt. Add remaining ingredients, except cornstarch. Simmer, covered 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Thicken with cornstarch and small amount of bean sprout juice. Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 6 to 8.
