CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE 
9 unbaked pie shells
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. Land O Lakes butter, melted
1 c. light corn syrup
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecan halves
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In small mixer bowl, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, eggs and salt. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed (2-3 minutes). Stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Pour into pie shell. Cover edge of crust with 2 strips of foil to prevent excess browning. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil, continue baking 15-25 minutes or until filling is set. If desired, serve with sweetened whipped cream. Yield 8 servings.
