GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
8-10 boiled potatoes
1 lb. bacon
1 sm. onion
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar, white
1 c. water

Brown bacon; pour off excess grease. Brown onion slightly. Add water, sugar, vinegar and simmer. Make gravy thickening (flour and water). Add to mix then pour over sliced potatoes.
