CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES 
3 tbsp. butter
4 sq. semi-sweet chocolate (4 oz.)
2 tbsp. butter, melted, softened
1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 tsp. almond extract

1. Melt the 3 tablespoons butter with the chocolate in top of double boiler over hot water. Remove and cool.

2. Grease a 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.

3. Blend remaining 2 tablespoons butter with the cream cheese in medium size bowl with electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 egg, the 1 tablespoon flour and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

4. Beat remaining 2 eggs in large bowl with electric mixer until foamy. Slowly add 3/4 cups of sugar, beaten until blended. Stir in 1/2 cup of flour, the baking powder and salt until smooth. Add chocolate mixture, walnuts, 1 teaspoon vanilla and almond extract.

5. Spread half of chocolate mixture evenly in prepared pan. Spread cream cheese mixture on top. Drop spoonuls onf remaining chocolate mixture on top of cream cheese. Swirl top of batter.

6. Bake preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) for 40 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack.
