BRAG'S OATMEAL COOKIES 
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
6 eggs
2 c. raisins
2 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 1/4 c. butter
4 c. brown sugar
6 1/2 c. oats

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut in the butter. (Cold butter is best.) Add eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Stir in uncooked oats and raisins. Use spoon or ice cream scoop to dip batter onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Do not flatten. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not over cook!

If you want to make Oatmeal Creme Pies, use the decorating cake icing as filling!
