MOLASSES COOKIES | |
3/4 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. Brer Rabbit dark molasses 1 egg 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cloves 1. Melt shortening over low heat. Cool. Add sugar, molasses and egg. Mix well. 2. Combine dry ingredients. Add to first mixture - mix well. Chill. 3. Make walnut-sized balls. Roll in sugar. Lay balls on greased cookie sheet. 4. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen cookies. |
