BIG FAT COOKIES 
1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. yellow or devils food cake mix with pudding
1/2 c. water
2 eggs
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet with shortening. Prepare the cake mix as directed on package except use 1/2 cup water and 2 eggs. Omit salad oil. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto the greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with 1 cup chocolate chips. Bake in 375 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no impression remains when a cookie is touched lightly.

Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute, then lift the cookies to rack with pan-cake turner.

VARIATION:

Use 1 cup of small gumdrops; cut in half in place of chocolate chips.
