BIG FELLOW SUGAR COOKIES 
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten

Sift together and set aside flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream until softened butter and vanilla. Add sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy after each addition. Add in thirds 2 well-beaten eggs, stirring thoroughly after each addition.

Gradually stir in dry ingredients and blend well. Chill. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut dough with floured cutters. Sprinkle tops with sugar. Place on cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Remove to rack to cool.

I have been making these delicious cookies since the late 1970's or early 1980's. I got the recipe from the New World Encyclopedia of Cooking. And it's still a favourite! I beat the egg first, then carry on with the recipe.
