BROWN AND WHITE BROWNIES 
1 c. shortening
2 c. white sugar
4 eggs (set aside one egg white)
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sq. melted chocolate or choco-bake

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs one at a time (retaining one egg white for icing). Add flour and salt. Spread 1/2 dough into 9x13 pan and add chocolate to remaining half. Spread chocolate half on top and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Frost when cooled.

FROSTING FOR BROWNIES:

4 tbsp. melted butter
Dash of salt
1 1/2 tsp. white vanilla
1 egg white (unbeaten)
4 tsp. warmed milk
Powdered sugar

Combine first four ingredients then gradually add powdered sugar to obtain spreadable consistency.
