2 c. granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 c. butter
2 (6 oz.) pkgs. pitted dates
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream sugar, eggs and butter. Add dates which have been cut up with scissors. Then add all other ingredients in order given. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. After baking allow to set a few minutes to cool before removing cookies from sheet.
