1 lg. can carnation evaporated milk
2 c. sugar
3 sq. unsweetened chocolate

Combine ingredients in heavy saucepan and bring to boil over medium heat. Cook 5 minutes, stirring vigorously. Remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat with rotary beater for about a minute. Serve hot or cold on ice cream or cake.
