40 red clover blossoms
40 white clover blossoms
Petals from 12 roses (any color)
1 tsp. powdered alum
2 c. boiling water
5 lbs. sugar

Separate the rose petals, put in strainer with clover blossoms and rinse well with cool water. Boil water, alum and sugar for 3 minutes. Add flower blossoms and petals. Boil hard for 1 minute; stirring thoroughly. Strain and bottle.
