GRANDMA'S RICE PUDDING 
1/2 c. rice (not instant)
2 c. boiling water
3 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Cinnamon

Cook rice in water for about 20 minutes. Add milk and simmer for 20 more minutes. Add sugar and salt, and continue simmering until creamy. Do not give up, it may take a while. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Sprinkle cinnamon over top and serve either warm or at room temperature. Very delicious.

May add 1 cup raisins with rice in the beginning.
