CONGO BARS 
2 1/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening, melted
2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) bag chocolate morsels

Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt. Melt shortening and add brown sugar. Stir until mixed and allow to cool slightly. Add eggs; one at a time, beat in well after each. Add dry ingredients, nuts, chocolate morsels and vanilla. Pour into a greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inch pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool before cutting.
