POPPY SEED CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 c. cake flour
2 tbsp. poppy seed soaked in 1 c. milk for 2 hours
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg whites, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter. Sift cake flour, baking powder and salt together and add to cream mixture. Add poppy seeds and milk. Fold in beaten egg whites. Add vanilla. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

FILLING:

5 egg yolks
1 c. cream
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. walnuts

Boil egg yolks, cream and sugar until thick. Add walnuts. Spread on cake. Over this put a 7 Minute Frosting. Sprinkle with coconut.
