LENTIL SOUP 
1 pkg. lentils
6 c. cold water
Sliced celery
1 1/2 c. cooked tomatoes
Pepper to taste
Chopped onion
Sliced carrots
Dash basil
1 meaty ham bone

Simmer lentils with ham bone until meat falls from bone. Remove bone, add vegetables and seasoning and any meat you can cut from the bone. Simmer until vegetables are tender.
