APPLE CRANBERRY DUMPLINGS 
JUICE:

2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. butter

FILLING:

4 c. grated apples
1 c. cooked cranberries
1/2 c. nuts

BISCUIT DOUGH:

2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk

Combine first 5 ingredients; boil 5 minutes. Combine first 3 dough ingredients; sift together. Cut in shortening. Add milk. Makes a soft dough. Roll out on floured board to a rectangle 18x12.

Spread apple, cranberries and nuts onto dough. Roll up like jelly roll. Cut in 1-inch pieces. Put on buttered pan 13x9x2-inches. Pour hot juice over all and bake in hot oven (425 degrees) 40 minutes.
