APPLE CRISP 
4 c. sliced apples
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. softened butter

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Serves 6. Spread evenly in 8 inch pan: 4 cups sliced apples. Sprinkle with water, cinnamon and salt. With pastry blender, mix until crumbly: sugar, flour and butter. Spread over apples. Bake uncovered 40 minutes. Serve warm with milk or ice cream.
