GOURMET CASSEROLE | |
2 lbs. pork sausage 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1/3 c. bell pepper, chopped 1 can cream of mushroom soup 3/4 c. milk 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese 1 jar sliced mushrooms Pimento (drained) 2 c. cooked wild rice 2 c. cooked white rice Heat oven to 350 degrees. Shape sausage into 1 1/2 inch balls. Brown well on all sides, cover and cook 10 minutes. Remove sausage balls and drain on paper towels. Combine with remaining ingredients. Pour into 2 quart casserole. Cover and bake 45 minutes or until center is bubbly. Stir before serving. Garnish with green pepper rings. Yields: 8 servings. |
