BANANA WALNUT LOAF | |
3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. shortening 2 eggs 1 c. mashed bananas 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped walnuts or chocolate chips Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla, beat hard until light. Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. Beat until smooth. Add nuts or chocolate, stir. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or make 18 muffins and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. |
