HAMBURGER ROLLS WITH TOMATOES 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef chuck
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
2 tbsp. water
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. milk
Fine dry bread crumbs
1 (#2) can tomatoes
1 med. onion, sliced

Mix meat thoroughly with salt, pepper and water. Form into barrel-shaped croquettes. Dip into egg which has been beaten with the milk; then roll in crumbs. Brown in shallot fat in a hot skillet, turning to brown all sides.
