MICROWAVE CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
4 c. cabbage, shredded
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. skim milk
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. plus 2 tsp. reduced-calorie butter
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
4 oz. yellow cheese (Colby, American, etc.)

Place all ingredients except cheese, in covered casserole dish and mix well. Microwave on High power for five minutes. Stir. Microwave for an additional five minutes on High. Add the cheese and return to microwave for another 5 minutes on High. Add the cheese and return to microwave for another 5 minutes on High. (Total time in microwave is 15 minutes.) Divide evenly into 4 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
