CHOCOLATE CARAMEL SQUARES | |
1 German chocolate cake mix 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1 c. nuts 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips 14 oz. caramels (Kraft) 3/4 c. melted butter 1. Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk (slowly). 2. Mix nuts, butter, remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk and cake mix by hand until it holds together. Divide dough in half. Press half of dough in 13 x 9 inch pan, greased. Bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Remove. 3. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust and melted caramels over chips. Crumble remaining dough over top. Bake 15-25 minutes. 4. Cool and then refrigerate for 30 minutes. 5. Cut into bars and enjoy. |
