ZELIA'S OWN LEMON MERINGUE PIE 
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. lemon juice plus 1 tsp. lemon flavor
1 baked pie shell

Combine flour, sugar, egg yolks well. Add milk, stir until smooth. Cook in double boiler stirring frequently until thickened. Cool. Add lemon juice and lemon flavoring. Pour into baked pie shell. Add meringue. Bake at 375 degrees until meringue browns.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
6 tbsp. sugar

Beat ingredients until fluffy.
