DUMP AND SPREAD CAKE 
1 can crushed pineapple (20 oz.)
1 lg. box white or yellow cake mix
1 c. chopped pecans
1 can cherry pie filling
1 stick butter

Dump pineapple into cake pan 9 x 13 x 2 inch and spread evenly, spoon cherry pie filling over and spread, dump box of cake mix (dry) over the above and spread, now slice the butter thin over the entire cake, sprinkle with pecans and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

You can spread Cool Whip on the top before serving, if you so desire.
