JANICE'S HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
1 box dry hash browns
1 oz. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 stick butter
1 onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Soak hash browns as directed on box. Melt butter. Stir in onion and cook until onion is almost done. Stir in sour cream and cream of chicken soup. Place hash browns in baking dish (9 x 13 inches) and take out about 3 tablespoons of hash browns. Pour heated mixture (onions, soup and sour cream) over hash browns. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Can also top with grated cheese.
