WHITE BROWNIES WITH CHOCOLATE
CHUNKS
 
2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup shortening or butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts
6 oz. chocolate chunks or chips

Sift and set aside flour, baking powder and salt. Melt shortening in pan. Stir in brown sugar and allow to cool slightly. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add flour mixture, nuts and chocolate chunks. Pour into greased or wax paper lined cake pan. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes. Keep in an airtight container.
