MEXICAN STRING BEANS 
1 pt. canned string beans
1 minced onion
4 strips of bacon
1/3 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 tsp. salt

Fry bacon crisp. Cook onion until golden brown in the bacon fat; stir in the flour and when smoothly mixed add the tomatoes and the liquid drained from the beans. Stir until boiling. Cook for 5 minutes, then put in salt, pepper and beans and heat thoroughly. Add finely chopped bacon. Serve hot.
