GARLIC-PEPPERED PECANS
1 tbsp. unsalted butter
2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
3 cloves garlic, mashed (I use 3/4 tsp. garlic juice instead)
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 lb. halved pecans
1/4 tsp. crushed hot red peppers
1 tbsp. seasoned pepper, divided
Salt

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a baking sheet with butter and sprinkle with hot pepper sauce, garlic, and soy sauce.

Spread the pecans over the sheet and stir with a fork until well coated with the seasonings. Next sprinkle with crushed red peppers, 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned pepper, and salt.

Bake for 10 minutes. Then sprinkle the pecans with the remaining seasoned pepper and more salt. Stir with a fork so the nuts brown evenly. Bake 15 minutes longer. Cool before serving.

Store in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
