BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring

Cream the shortening, sugar and eggs together. Then add 1 1/2 cups flour with salt and soda to creamed mixture. Add 1/2 cup buttermilk; mix well. Add remaining flour and buttermilk; beat 2 minutes. Pour in tube pan and bake for 1 hour in 350 degree oven.

ICING:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. lemon juice

Mix all ingredients and pour over cake while it's still hot.
