GREEN TOMATO RELISH
This relish has such an amazing flavor thanks to the combination of green tomatoes, peppers, onions, and spices. The best part is that it's so easy to make - just a few simple ingredients and some simmering time are all you need to create this tasty old time treat!

I love how versatile it is too – you can use it as a condiment for burgers or hot dogs, add it to sandwiches for an extra kick of flavor, or even mix it into recipes like chili or stew. Trust me, once you try this relish, you'll never go back to store-bought again!

24 green tomatoes (diced)
6 green peppers (chopped)
6 white onions (chopped)
3 red peppers hot (chopped)
4 cups cider vinegar
8 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. mixed pickling spice
Salt to taste

Simmer all ingredients, about 20-30 minutes. Salt to taste after mixture comes to boil. Seal in sterilized pint jars while hot. Refrigerate or boil in water bath canner for 15 minutes.

6-8 pints.

Wow, just made this Green Tomato Relish today and it turned out amazing. The combination of flavors is spot-on - sweet from the sugar and vinegar, spicy from the peppers, with a hint of tanginess from the tomatoes. I can't wait to try it on some burgers tonight! Highly recommend this recipe if you're looking for a new twist on classic relish.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Cameron! I love the combination of flavors in Green Tomato Relish too - it really is the perfect accompaniment to burgers and other grilled meats. Glad to hear you enjoyed the recipe! It reminds me of piccalilli my grandma put up in jars when we were kids that we would take home when we visited in late summer.
