MINCEMEAT COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, unbeaten
1 c. mincemeat
1 c. rolled oats
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts

Stir together shortening, sugar, and eggs. Beat until fluffy. Add mincemeat and rolled oats. Stir in sifted dry ingredients. Drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
